The result screen at the end of a CSV import reports how many contacts were
added and how many were updated. When a row matched a contact that was
created moments earlier, by another import running at the same time or by an
earlier row in the same file, the contact was correctly updated but the row
was counted as added. The total stayed right, so the error was easy to miss.
What you may notice
- The added and updated counts now match the account. A row that was merged
into an existing contact counts as updated, however late the match was made. - Nothing about what the import writes has changed. Contacts that were
merged before are still merged the same way.
